Alternative Energy Consultants (AEC) specializes in the design and turn key construction of renewable fueled power generation facilities and renewable fuel refineries. AEC has designed and installed two power generation facilities and one biodiesel refinery, located north of Houston, Texas.
H.O. Clarke Facility (50-500 MW) – Base load and peaker power project that plans to use steam cogeneration via waste oils, byproducts, and biomass in addition to biodiesel and renwable oil fueled turbines. CenterPoint grid connection with 500 MW substation. Site of the proposed Houston Clean Energy Park, introducing a wide range of renewable power technologies. |
WARPP Facility (10 MW) – Biodiesel and renewable oil fueled grid-connected power plant using General Electric Frame 5 turbine generating up to 10 MegaWatts. This template is best suited for military bases and cogeneration operations that can add HRSG steam and CHP. |
ORN (5 MW) Power Plant – Biodiesel-fueled peaking plant suitable for business park or municipality site. Three Caterpillar 3516 reciprocating diesel engines are grid-connected with a synchronized control system and substation. |
Biodiesel Refinery – 15 million gallon per year skid-mounted process assemblies. Continuous flow design using multiple feedstocks (vegetable oils and animal fats) and various levels of FFA (free fatty acids). |
